120 New cases in Paschim Bardhaman - Rapid tests starts in Durgapur

Durgapur: Rapid test for COVID has been started in some wards under Durgapur Municipal Corporation.

According to some media reports, the facility will be available at 5 borough offices.

The report also said that both the facilities of swab test, and rapid antigen test will be available there.

The health and family welfare department of Durgapur Municipal Corporation is emphasising on this rapid test in the areas, where the cases are popping up frequently.

The facility will be available for the residents on the below mentioned dates in specific borough offices.

6th August in Borough no. 2, 7th August in borough no. 3, 8th August in borough no. 1 and 9th August in borough no. 5.

According to the medical Bulletin, published by West Bengal Government, the number of affected crossed 1400 only in Paschim Bardhaman.

120 new cases were detected in Paschim Bardhaman on Monday taking the total number of cases to 1426.

726 people has been recovered and there are 688 new cases in Paschim Bardhaman as of 5th August 2020.

Everyday new cases are coming up in Durgapur as well as in Paschim Bardhman.

Some of A zone, B zone, Benachity, SEPCO, City centre were declared as containment zones.
