966 people tested positive in Paschim Bardhaman in last 8 days

Paschim Bardhaman: At the end of August, the number of people who tested positive daily in the district of Paschim Bardhaman was well below 100.

But since the start of September, the number is above 100 almost every day. In the last 8 days, since September 1st, a total of 966 people tested positive in Paschim Bardhaman.

Here is a detailed breakdown of the number of cases reported everyday. The data given below is based on the information given in the health bulletin released by the Govt. of West Bengal on their official website.

In the last 8 days, 100 people tested positive on 1st September, 58 on September 2, 130 on September 3, & 123 on 4th September.

On September 5, the number went to 124, and on September 6th, it went up to 158.

118 people tested positive on 7th September & 155 on 8th September.

In Durgapur, an increase in the number of reported positive cases was seen as well. The administration is trying their best to control the spread by raising awareness as much as possible among the general public.

However, the good news is that there is also an increase in the number of people who recovered and were discharged. In the last 8 days, 871 people were discharged.

According to the bulletin released on 9th September, there are a total of 962 active cases in the district. The total number of cases reported reached 4823.

Unfortunately, a total of 41 people have lost their lives in Paschim Bardhaman.
