After the lockdown started in 23 districts across the state, the Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate started help-line numbers to prevent the outbreak of the Coronavirus in the Asansol-Durgapur region and for emergencies during the lockdown.
In Durgapur, the police and DMC administration have stated a help-line number, +91 8373810001, to receive any complaints or to get information about any affected victims.
But the Durgapur police have made it very clear to call this number only if you see any doubtful person in your area who have come from some other state or country or someone who might be infected by the coronavirus.

The Asansol Municipal Corporation has set up 7 camps in the 106 wards to provide any emergency help 24×7 to all the general public during the lockdown.
Two toll-free helpline numbers 18003453397 / 14001204125 have also been started.
The Asansol-Durgapur police officers and civic volunteers are positioned at different areas to check that no one is roaming outside their homes during the lockdown.
