Asansol-Durgapur police starts using Speed Gun!

To monitor and control speeding cars the police department have finally started to use ‘Speedgun’ ( a device to measure speed of vehicle).

It mainly consists of 3 cameras. If the trigger is pressed the speed of the vehicle captured by the cameras is displayed in the screen.

By this method if police doubts about the speed of the vehicle then he can easily get the exact details and take necessary action.

On Panagarh-Morgram national highway, Durgapur the police took the device and started using it.

According to the traffic department vehicles running over 30 km/hr on that road is a punishable offence with a fine and even the driver’s licence can be seized.

People are admiring this precaution taken by the police to suppress road accidents.
