Toto and Auto rivalry gave a tragic outcome at Benachity in Durgapur.
The incident happened on Sunday evening.
The two vehicle union put up a fight like situation and the services stopped for some time on Monday morning.
Both of them accused each other of illegally picking up passengers, breaking their regular routes.
According to the local sources, negligence of municipality is the main cause for this clash.
Specifically the Nachan road to Bhiringi-Prantika route has the most illegal Toto’s running.
They stopped picking up passengers and quarrelled over this on Monday morning.
At last they seek out the help of the police.
Then the police ordered them to follow the route that has been determined by the municipality for each of them.
Finally the services restored to its previous state.
