On Sunday Evening, a sweet shop at Durgapur Bus Stand caught fire.
According to the sources, when the preparation of snacks was going on, suddenly the flames from the oven somehow rose and the plastic present in the shop caught fire.
The fire then spread to the entire shop and it started burning. Seeing this, the owners and customers of the adjacent shops starts to panic.
The Fire Brigade Department was called. One of the Engines of the Fire Brigade Department responded immediately and stopped the fire from spreading further.
No loss as such was reported. There were no injuries or casualties due to the incident.
