Office of the District Judge, Paschim Bardhaman is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 113 posts of Stenographer, Lower Division Clerk, Typist/ Copyist, Process Server, Peon/ Farash/ Dayguard/ Nightguard and Sweeper.

1. STENOGRAPHER (GROUP-B)

No.of Vacancies: 10 Nos. (UR-05, OBC-02, SC-02, ST-01)
Educational Qualification: i) Passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination from any recognized Board.
ii) Should possess basic knowledge regarding operating computer. The candidate should have a certificate in Computer operation from a recognized Institution.
iii) Should have minimum speed @ 80 W.P.M in shorthand and a minimum speed @ 30 W.P.M. in typewriting from a legible manuscript in English for 10 minutes.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 39 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs. 7100/- to Rs. 37600/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 3900/-

2. LOWER DIVISION CLERK (GROUP-C)
No.of Vacancies: 42 Nos. (UR-23, OBC-07, SC-10, ST-02)
Educational Qualification: i) Passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination from any recognized Board.
ii) Should possess basic knowledge regarding operating computer. The candidate should have a certificate in Computer operation from a recognized Institution.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5400/- to Rs. 25200/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 2600/-

3. TYPIST/ COPYIST (GROUP-C)
No.of Vacancies: 04 Nos. (UR-02, SC-01, ST-01)
Educational Qualification: i) Passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination from any recognized Board.
ii) Should possess basic knowledge regarding operating a computer. The candidate should have a certificate in Computer operation from a recognized Institution.
iii) Minimum typing speed from legible manuscript @ 30 w.p.m. in English is required.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5400/- to Rs. 25200/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 2600/-

4. PROCESS SERVER (GROUP-D)
No.of Vacancies: 06 Nos. (UR-03, OBC-01, SC-01, ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Must have Class VIII Pass Certificate from any recognized school or any other recognized Institution.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5400/- to Rs. 25200/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 2300/-

5. PEON/ FARASH/ DAYGUARD/ NIGHTGUARD (GROUP-D)
No.of Vacancies: 50 Nos. (UR-27, OBC-09, SC-11, ST-03)
Educational Qualification: Must have Class VIII Pass Certificate from any recognized school or any other recognized Institution.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs. 4900/- to Rs. 16200/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 1700/-

6. SWEEPER (GROUP-D)
No.of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (SC)
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have ability to read and write Bengali.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs. 4900/- to Rs. 16200/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 1700/-

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any as per Govt. norms. Reserved Category candidates from the States other than West Bengal shall be treated as General Candidates.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test, Typing Test, Computer Proficiency Test, Personality Test, and Interview wherever applicable.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs. 500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST) for the post at Sl. No. 1 & 2, Rs. 400/- (Rs.200/- for SC/ST) for the posts at Sl. No. 4 & 5 and Rs.200/- (for SC/ST) for the post at Sl. No. 6 as Application Fee.
