A resident of Andal, Durgapur was given a life imprisonment by a govt advocate Utpal Chatterjee of Durgapur Law Court for brutally killing his wife.
The lawyer informed that Nasifa Khatun & Asraf Ansari were married in 2007.Soon Ansaf left her wife and went to Mumbai, when she became pregnant & later on she gave birth to a girl child. Nasifa’s father ,on being concerned about their future, built a house for them.
Nasifa worked in a Computer centre. On 2013, 4 th September Asraf blocked her path in Ajagar Pally and inhumanly stabbed her 7 times and killed her as informed by the locales.
The matter was going on for many years in Durgapur Court and on Monday he was given a verdict of life long imprisonment by the utmost Supreme court Judge of the District.
After the declaration of the punishment, Asraf claimed that he was trapped.
