3300+ tested positive in Paschim Bardhaman in September

Paschim Bardhaman: The COVID cases in Paschim Bardhaman have already crossed the 7000 mark. In West Bengal, the number crossed 2 lakh 60 thousand.

The COVID made all of our lives come to a standstill, now after about 6 months though everything around us is coming back to normal, the number of daily positive cases reported is not going down.

In the month of September, a total of about 3359 cases were reported in Paschim Bardhaman according to the data provided by the government.

This takes the average daily cases reported to over 100.

According to various news sources more than half of the cases are from Durgapur and it’s surrounding areas.

Towards the end of September, the number of daily reported cases decreased.

The average daily cases came down to a little over 80.

According to the data released on 1st October, a total of 7216 were reported till 30th September.

6361 total number of people recovered and was released in the district. Currently, there are 788 active cases in Paschim Bardhaman.

A total of 67 people lost their lives to COVID.

Durgapurians and Bengalis all across the world is currently worried about what the situation will be during Durga Puja. Many puja committees all across Durgapur have already started the Construction of Puja Pandals.

The West Bengal government allowed movie theatres to open from the first week of October.
