Transfer WB Ration Card To New Family After Marriage (FORM 14)

In case you got married recently, you want to transfer your Ration Card to your new family. Or if you are the husband, you might want to transfer your wife’s Ration Card to your family.

The West Bengal Government has made it easier for you to transfer the ration card to a new family or from your in-law’s family to your family online.

To do this online, you need to fill out FORM – 14.

Steps to apply for transfer of Ration card to a new family online

To apply for a transfer of a Ration card to a new family in West Bengal,

Step 1: Go to the Official WB Ration Card website

First, go to the official website of the West Bengal Food Department at food.wb.gov.in.
Once the website opens, click on the ‘Citizen’s Home’ option.
Next, click on the ‘Ration Card Related Corner’ option.
Next, click on the ‘Services Requiring Office Approval’ option.
Next, click on the ‘Apply Online’ option.

Step 2: Log in to the WB Digital Ration card portal

Now, enter the ration card category.
Next, enter the registered mobile number of your family.
In case you want to transfer your wife’s Ration card, enter the mobile number of the family to which your wife’s ration card is linked.
Next, click on the ‘Get OTP’ button. You will receive an OTP on your registered number.
Next, enter the OTP in the specified field and click on the ‘Proceed’ button.
The home screen of the West Bengal online ration card portal will open in front of you.

Step 3: Fill up FORM 14

Now go to the form section and click on the “Apply Now” button below Form 14.
A page with all the names of your family members will appear in front of you
Next, select the check box beside the name of the person you want to transfer to a new family.
Next, go to the bottom of the screen and click on the “Next” button. A new page will appear.
Next, scroll down a bit and enter the ration card number and category of the head of the family to which you want to transfer the ration card.
If you’re logged in to your wife’s family’s account, enter the ration card number of the head of ‘your’ family here. Now, click on the “Search” button.
Name of the family members of the family where the applicant wants to transfer her ration card to will appear on the screen. Now, click on the ‘Next’ button.
Next, select ‘Relation with HOF’ from the drop-down list.
Next, select ‘Reason for shifting to a new family’ from the drop-down list.
Next, upload the ‘Supporting Document’ (if applicable).
Next, click on the ‘Next’ button. A new page will appear.

Step 4: Submit FORM 14

After a new page opens, click on the “I Certify” checkbox and then click on the ‘Get OTP’ button.
Next, enter the OTP in the specified field and click on the ‘Submit OTP’ button.
Once you do that you will get a success notice showing that your form is successfully submitted.

Now you can log in to the West Bengal digital ration card portal at any time and check the status of your application.
