Lakshmi (Lakhir) Bhandar Scheme West Bengal for Women 2024

The West Bengal government recently launched the Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme, also known as the Lakhir Bhandar Prokolpo.

Under the scheme, the West Bengal government will provide financial assistance to the female head of the family with a low monthly income.

Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme also known as the Lakhir Bhandar Prokolpo is a financial assistance scheme or monthly income scheme for the female head of a family in West Bengal.

The West Bengal government will provide Rs. 1000 per month for general category families and Rs. 1200 per month for SC/ST category families who have a low monthly income under this scheme.

The scheme will be launched keeping in mind the state monthly average consumption expenditure in a household is Rs.5249.

Lakhir Bhandar scheme eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for the West Bengal Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme are,

  1. Applicant must be a citizen of West Bengal.
  2. Age of the applicant must be between 25-60.
  3. Applicant must not have a permanent job.
  4. Casual workers are allowed to apply under the scheme.
  5. All families of to SC/ST category can apply under the scheme.
  6. General category families with at least one tax-paying member cannot apply under the scheme.
  7. General category families with more than 2 hectares of land cannot apply under the scheme.
  8. Only women head of the family is eligible under this scheme.

You need the following documents to apply for the Lakshmi/Lakhir Bhandar Scheme.

  1. Aadhar Card
  2. Swasthyasathi Card
  3. Caste certificate (If Applicable)
  4. Ration card
  5. Residential proof
  6. Age proof
  7. Bank details (Only Single accounts will be allowed)
  8. Passport size photo
  9. Mobile number
