Training for West Bengal Seba Sakhi Prakalpa

The West Bengal government will recruit 20 – 40 women from each block in every district of West Bengal.

They will then be trained by the West Bengal government under the Gramin Jibika Mission “Anadadhara” scheme.

Women who will be selected under the “Seba Sakhi” prakalpa will be trained by giving them a general idea of basic medical care, measuring blood pressure, providing care and treatment for common diseases like diabetes, etc.

Salary of women under West Bengal Seba Sakhi Prakalpa

Under the Seba Sakhi scheme, women who will be appointed to take care of an elderly person will receive ₹300 per day if appointed in an urban area or ₹255 per day if appointed in a rural area.

Application Process of West Bengal Seba Sakhi Prakalpa

The West Bengal government will start the pilot project of the scheme soon. Therefore as of now, no details have been provided regarding the process to apply under the Seba Sakhi scheme.

It is expected that both offline and online procedures to apply for the scheme will be announced after the pilot project is completed.

The pilot project will be held in four blocks, Baruipur, Rajarhat, Paskura, and Amta. 20 women from each block will be selected and trained in the Institute of Gerontology, Kolkata.

After a successful pilot project, more women will be recruited and trained under the Seba Sakhi scheme.
