An accident occurred at the CDI department of the Durgapur Steel Plant on Sunday. 5 People are reportedly injured.
According to the authorities, on Sunday morning at about 11 AM, a flash fire occurred which resulted in the injury of 5 people from molten iron.
According to report one officer, 2 contractor labor and 2 permanent staff were injured in the accident. The name of the person injured Manish Nima, Sujoy Kundu, Subrata Bala, and Nasir Alam.
There were first taken to the Plant Medical and were later sent to DSP Main Hospital. All of them are out of danger.
A committee is also formed to enquire about the cause of the accident and to find ways to prevent such an incident in the future.
The labor unions have requested a high-level of enquiry of the accident.
