Durgapur: The popular airline operator IndiGo is all set to start direct flight operations from Durgapur Airport to Chennai on May 16, 2024. Spicejet previously operated on this route but flights were later closed off.
Flights will be available three days a week, i.e., Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The flight will leave Chennai at 05:45 in the morning and reach Durgapur at 08:25. It will again leave Durgapur at 8:55 in the morning and reach Chennai at 11:25.

Currently, to reach Chennai from Durgapur, you have to travel via Hyderabad. Starting direct flight services on this route will cut travel time by a lot.
