Durgapur: After a long wait, the flight route that the residents of the industrial area of Asansol and Durgapur are looking for is going to start soon.
The flight services in the Durgapur – Bangaluru (Bangalore) route are going to start from 22nd February according to news sources.
Currently, there are three operational routes from the Andal Airport. Durgapur – Mumbai, Durgapur – Delhi, and Durgapur – Chennai. The Durgapur – Hyderabad route is temporarily not in operation.
According to sources, the Durgapur – Bangaluru route will have flights for 3 days a week, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
As of now, flights to Mumbai and Chennai also run for 3 days a week, i.e Monday, Wednusday and Friday. Durgapur to Delhi flights, however, runs for 7 days a week.
It is known that the flights from Bangalore will leave at around 5:35 AM in the morning and will reach Durgapur at around 7:45 AM. It will then leave Durgapur at around 8:25 AM and will reach Bangalore at around 11:00 PM.
