Durgapur: The elections results of the Durgapur Purba and Paschim assembly constituency has finally been announced. The counting of the votes started on 2nd May morning at around 9 AM.

According to news sources, all the rounds of vote counting of Durgapur Purba and Durgapur Paschim has now been completed and the winners has been announced.
In Durgapur Purba, TMC’s Pradip Majumdar won the election by a margin of 3746 votes against BJP’s Colonel Diptanshu Choudhury. Here, TMC got a total of 79303 votes and BJP got 75557 votes after all the rounds of vote counting.
However, in Durgapur Paschim, BJP’s Lakhshman Chandra Ghorui won the election with a margin of 14664 votes against TMC’s Biswanath Parial. Here, BJP got 91186 votes in total and TMC got 76522 votes after all the rounds of vote counting.
