Kolkata: Due to the increase in the number of cases among railway workers, the Eastern Railway has previously canceled several local and passenger trains in the Sealdah and Howrah divisions.
But now the Eastern Railway have decided to discontinue 14 trains (7 pairs) including Asansol – Sealdah Intercity Express until further advice.

However, Eastern Railway officials have stated that the reason for discontinuation is due to ‘poor patronization’ and ‘operational constraints’.
