Kolkata: The West Bengal CM, Mamata Banerjee in a press conference on Wednesday, 5th May afternoon announced a new and fresh set of restrictions and guidelines to be followed from today onwards.

The government said that these restrictions were needed keeping the present situation in mind. These new restrictions and guidelines are for sectors like transportation, markets, offices, banks, etc.
Transportation:
The West Bengal Government has announced that all local trains that are running in West Bengal will be suspended starting from tomorrow (6th May).
Also, only 50 percent of all state transport, including metro, will run from tomorrow onwards.
According to the government, these steps are taken keeping the current situation in mind.
Markets:
The West Bengal government also announced that all markets, retailers, and standalone shops will now remain open only from 7 am to 10 am in the morning and from 5 pm to 7 pm in the evening.

They also mentioned that all Shopping complexes, gyms, cinema halls, beauty parlors, etc. will remain closed till further notice.
Jewellery shops can remain open from 12 pm to 3 pm.
Banks:
All Banks have been allowed to operate from 10 AM to 2 PM only.
Offices:
All state government offices will now function with only 50 percent staff as announced in the press conference. The private sector was also advised to allow 50% employees to Work from Home.
Apart from the restrictions mentioned above, there will also be restrictions in social and political gatherings, as mentioned by the CM.
