Intra-State Bus services resume in West Bengal

Kolkata: Amid the stage four of the lockdown that India is going through, various work fields have already opened up for the sake of common people.

However, the number of COVID-19 affected patients in the state, as well as the country, are also gradually rising day by day.

Yesterday, on 26th May, the Principal Secretary of Bengal informed that all the inter-district state bus services will restart again.

The West Bengal goveremnet has however decided that the domestic flight operations would remain closed till 28th May.

Yesterday the state government withdrew the decision made for Bus and transport Services made on 18/05/2020.

The state government has issued guidelines about long-distance, inter-district bus services, other vehicles, and transport services are to be restarted in Kolkata, Durgapur, Asansol, Siliguri & other places of Bengal.

SBSTC, WBTC, and NBSTC have started their operations from 27th May onwards. The time table for SBSTC Bus service is given below.

The Bookings are however available from the counter only as of now.

Online booking of the SBSTC buses are available at online.sbstcbooking.co.in from 1st June Onwards.

The transportation sectors are trying their best to bring everything back to normal as soon as possible.

They have meanwhile received the order from state govt and are restarting the bus transport services from 27th May full-fledged.
