Picnic can be done at Maithon Dam – See Rules that need to be followed

Paschim Bardhaman: After remaining at home for a long long time, the residents of Asansol-Durgapur area were waiting to see if they will be allowed to organize a picnic this winter season.

Finally, the Salanpur block administration has given permission to go on a picnic at Maithon Dam, according to sources.

The Deul Park located near Durgapur will also remain open for picnic.

The Salanpur block administration. on 1st December, in a meeting with the police, DVC, and the boat owners association, decided to allow the general public to arrange picnics at Maithon Dam.

But there are certain set of rules that needs to be followed.

It will be mandatory to wear a mask while going on a boat ride. Also, only four people will be allowed on the boat at one time.

The sitting arrangement in the boat will be made in such a way that social distancing is maintained.

No mics or DJs can be played at the picnic.

Plates and glasses made of thermocol or plastic will not be allowed.

Only plates made of paper or Sal Leaves will be allowed to use in the picnic, according to the administration.

Apart from these, people should wear masks and maintain social distance as far as possible, considering the current situation.
