Durgapur: Again transportation over the Durgapur barrage will remain closed to the general public for maintenance for a few days.
The Bankura District Administration recently released a notice regarding the decision.

According to the notice released by the Bankura district administration, all types of transportation over the Durgapur Barrage will remain closed during the nighttime for 4 days in a row, starting Thursday.
The notification released, mentioned that for the repairing work of some lock gates in Durgapur barrage, no vehicles will be allowed to pass over Durgapur barrage from 22.7.2021 to 26.7.2021 in between 11 PM at night to 4:00 AM in the morning next day.
Only the fire brigade, ambulances, and other emergency service vehicles will be allowed to pass over Durgapur Barrage during the repair work.
According to the news sources, the decision is taken to complete some remaining technical repairing work on the Durgapur Barrage lock gates.
