Steps to lock your Aadhaar number online

To lock your Aadhaar card number,

Step 1: Go to the myAadhaar portal

  1. First, go to the official myAadhar portal at myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.
  2. Next, click on the ‘Lock/Unlock Aadhaar’ option.
  3. A new page will appear.

Step 2: Enter Aadhaar details

  1. Next, click on the ‘Next’ button.
  2. Next, enter your ‘Virtual ID’ in the specified field.
  3. Next, enter your ‘Full Name’ in the specified field.
  4. Next, enter your ‘Pincode’ in the specified field.
  5. Next, enter the captcha code and click on the ‘Send OTP’ button.

Step 3: Lock your Aadhaar

  1. Next, enter the OTP received in the specified field.
  2. Next, tick the declaration box and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  3. Next, click on the ‘Lock’ button.

Your Aadhar card will be locked successfully.

  2. Next, select the ‘Unlock Aadhaar’ option.
  3. Next, enter the ‘Virtual ID’ in the specified field.

  5. Next, click on the ‘Send OTP’ button.

Step 3: Unlock your Aadhaar

  1. Next, enter the OTP received in the specified field.
  2. Next, tick the declaration box and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  3. Next, click on the ‘Unlock’ button.

Your Aadhar card will be unlocked successfully.
