Eligibility

To be eligible for the Sishu Sathi scheme, the patient should be under the age of 12 years.

There are no eligibility criteria regarding family income or category in this scheme.

The West Bengal government has partnered with three private hospitals regarding free heart surgery for children under the scheme.

The private hospitals are:

BM Birla Heart Research Centre, Kolkata.
RN Tagore Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Kolkata.
Mission Hospital, Durgapur.
