UIDAI( Unique Identification Authority of India has Launched a new App called the mAadhaar. This App will help you carry your Aadhaar details on your smartphone.
This app which is currently available only on the Android, allows users to not only have their Aadhaar profile on their smartphones as a quick and convenient identification proof, it also lets users lock/ unlock their biometric data that are linked to Aadhaar via the app to secure their personal data.
In a tweet they mentioned:

They also said the app is currently in beta mode and thus there may be some bug issues. The app will run on all Android devices with Android 5.0 and above. It will soon be available on the iOS.
Other features include viewing and sharing updated Aadhaar profile via QR (Quick Response) code, and sharing eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer) details with service providers such as telecommunications companies.
It will also be helpful in places where you need to provide your identity but don’t have an ID proof with you or in case you forget to bring one.
The App is also said to use the “TOTP” instead of the “SMS service OTP” for better security.
