Steps to apply for West Bengal Ration Card correction

The steps to apply for ration card details correction in West Bengal are,

Step 1: Go to West Bengal ration Card website

  2. Once the website opens, click on the ‘Citizen’s Home’ option.
  3. Next, click on the ‘Ration Card Related Corner’ option.
  4. Next, click on the ‘Services Requiring Office Approval’ option.
  5. Next, click on the ‘Apply Online’ option.
  6. Next, click on the ‘Form 5’ option.

Step 2: Log in to your digital Ration Card account

  1. Now, enter the ration card category.
  2. Next, enter the registered mobile number of your family.
  3. Next, click on the ‘Get OTP’ button. You will receive an OTP on your registered number.
  4. Next, enter the OTP in the specified field and click on the ‘Proceed’ button.
  5. The home screen of the West Bengal online ration card portal will open in front of you.

If you are logging in for the first time, you might be asked to enter your ration card details in order to link it with your mobile number.

The names of your family members linked with this mobile number will be shown on the screen.

Please note that you need to link your Aadhaar Card with your ration card in order to use these online application services provided by the government.

Step 3: Fill up FORM 5

  1. Scroll down on your screen
  2. Now you will see an option called “Apply for form 5”. Click on apply now button below that.
  3. A new page will open up where you can edit all the details required for each member of your family.
  4. Make the necessary changes in the required field, such as name, address, age, etc.
  5. Add the supporting document for each change made.
  6. If some of the members don’t need any change leave it as it is
  7. Now go to the bottom of the screen and click on “Next”.

Step 4: Submit FORM 5

  1. Now a new page will open up showing you the summary of the changes made by you.
  2. Verify the changes to see if there are accurate.
  3. Now click on the checkbox and click on the ‘Proceed’ button.
  4. Another page will open up.
  5. Click on the checkbox and then click on the ‘Get OTP’ button.
  6. Now enter the OTP in the specified field and click on submit OTP.
  7. Now you will get a confirmation page mentioning that your application is submitted successfully.

Steps to update Ration Card details using Self Service through Aadhaar

To rectify or update ration card details in West Bengal,

Step 1: Go to the official website

  1. First, go to the official website of the West Bengal Food Department at food.wb.gov.in.
  2. Once the website opens, click on the ‘Citizen’s Home’ option.
  3. Next, click on the ‘Ration Card Related Corner’ option.
  4. Next, click on the ‘Self Service Through Aadhaar’ option.
  5. Next, click on the ‘Rectify /Update’ option.
  6. A new page will open.

Step 2: Enter your ration card number

  1. Next, enter the ‘Ration Card Number’ in the specified field.
  2. Next, click on the ‘SEARCH’ button.
  3. The Ration Card details will be shown on the screen.
  4. Next, tick the details that you want to update.

Step 3: Verify OTP

  1. Next, tick the consent box.
  2. Next, click on the ‘SEND OTP’ button.
  3. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. Enter it in the specified field.
  4. Next, click on the ‘Submit OTP’ button.
  5. The details of the family will be shown on the screen.

Step 4: Update ration card details

  1. The Aadhaar details will be shown on the screen.
  2. Next, click on the ‘Verify and Submit’ button.
  3. A new screen will appear.
  4. Next, update the details as required.
  5. Next, click on the ‘Proceed’ button.
  6. The ration card details will be updated successfully.
  7. Next, click on the ‘OK’ button.
